I sparsh sachdeva student of lovely professional university. I am previleged that i am sharing my views for the very time as this is my first blog on the issue thas has been faced by the company "Apple" that has acknowledged a flaw in its facetime software that allowed for a brief eavesdropping even if the call has not been received by the receiver and how apple handles this problem.
It is recognised that the iphone can send the videos without the knowledge of the receiver. In a privacy misstep for apple, its users notices that a bug that allowed people to eavdrops on other users before they answered facetime calls. Therefore the bug affects the iphone, ipad, and Mac users whose devices supported Facetime. The bug went viral when a 14 year old Grant thompson discovered that while group facetiming with friends on his iphone, he was able to hear someone who had not picked up when he called. However apple has announced to compensate the teenager and his family for discovering the flaw.
However by early Apple had realised its mistake for the issue and started fixing the bug on its servers and releasing an iPhone update to turn the feature back on.
Apple said that "We sincerely apologize to our customers who were affected and all who were concerned about this security issue,"
